Oldfield Advisory LLP has advised Russell, Adrian and Vernon Wade, the founders and long-term owners of BlueSky, on the sale of the business to Berlin Packaging, the world’s largest Hybrid Packaging Supplier®.
Acting as accountants and tax advisers to the sellers, Oldfield supported the BlueSky team throughout the transaction from financial information preparation and due diligence management through to completion. The instruction reflects a relationship built since 2018.
Oldfield has served as BlueSky’s adviser across the full breadth of the business: strategic tax planning, accounts and compliance, employee incentive structuring, R&D, and regular strategic review. When it came to the most significant transaction of their ownership, the founders placed that trust with Oldfield Advisory.
BlueSky is a UK-based packaging solutions business headquartered in Grimsby, specialising in the supply of glass, plastic and metal packaging, which includes containers, closures and dispensing systems, to customers across the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, beauty, personal care, home care and beverage sectors. The company has built a strong reputation for its responsive service, technical expertise and consultative approach, and offers value-added services including decoration and printing.
Berlin Packaging provides packaging solutions across glass, plastic and metal formats, serving a broad range of global end markets. The acquisition strengthens its UK presence and broadens its European operations, while representing a successful exit for BlueSky and the team.
